What is Biblical Counseling and when do you need it?
Biblical Counseling as explained by the Association of Biblical Counseling is as follows:
Biblical Counseling is a fluid event and process, as part of the great commission, whereby one or more theologically and relationally qualified people provide spiritual, emotional, and behavioral service, comfort, and guidance in love to one or more people through the truth and power of God's Word under the ministry of his Holy Spirit.
At GENESIS 1 Biblical Counseling we offer R.E.A.L. healing. Healing that is:
Rooted in the Scriptures
Exalting God above all else
All Powered by the Holy Spirit &
Lead by the Love of Jesus
When to get help?
The National Institute for Mental Health recommends seeking help if you are experiencing overwhelming sadness or helplessness that doesn't go away, serious or unusual insomnia, sleeping too much, difficulty focusing on work or carrying out everyday activities, constant worry and anxiety, excessive drinking or drug use, harmful behavior toward yourself or others, or dealing with a difficult transition (such as divorce, children leaving home, job difficulties or the death of someone close). If children have behavioral problems that interfere with school, family or peers, it's also helpful to seek professional help from a counselor for the child as well as for yourself.

Our Mission Statement:
GENESIS 1 Biblical Counseling exists to help the body of Christ heal from the effects of sin (sins perpetrated against us by a broken world as well as the indwelling sin we carry in our flesh) and grow in Christ-likeness. The mission here is to, by the power or the Holy Spirit, turn your season of pain and brokenness into your story of a redeeming God who loves and pursues the broken and we do this for His glory.
Counseling Services and Pricing
The foundation of all of our counseling services are the Holy Scriptures.
2 Peter 1:3 says, "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence..."
Pricing
$55 for Individual Sessions.
Marriage Counseling - one spouse $55
both spouses $75 per session.
Family Counseling (3 or more) $85 per session.*
House calls:
for Individuals $65, for Couples $85, for Families $95
